This is a novice event right at the grass roots of Muay Thai. The aim is to help people develop their ringcraft and gain sporting experience in a low pressure environment. All these events are fully padded and officiated by Muaythai Australia
Event Details:
- This event is open to ages 14 years old and up, you must have current CSA registration to compete, CLICK HERE TO COMPLETE CSA
- Muay Thai NSW will provide Headgear, Cotton Shinpads, Elbow pads and Body Armour.
- You will need to bring Mouthguard, Cotton hand wraps, Muay Thai Shorts, Singlet and Groin guard for Males.
- All bouts will be 3 x 90 sec rounds
ALL COMPETITORS MUST BE REGISTERED AND CLEARED WITH THE COMBAT SPORTS AUTHORITY OF NSW.
Registration is for the competition only. All other administration and logistics is at your own expense. Registrsations close 23rd October, 2022.
This event is for all MTA member gyms. You will be matched with a combatant within your fight experience and Weight Division. All bouts are strictly controlled and safety is paramount. Please consider carefully your entry and discuss your competitiveness with your trainer. Registration includes fight records so we will know when people are registered what experience level they have.
Rules:
The competition will be conducted under Muaythai Australia rules which can be found HERE *note: the only modification is NO teeps or Knees to the face.
Other than that, All bouts will be scored under Muay Thai rules
Eligibility - If you wish to enter - you must join an MTA club or get your club to join the MTA.
Registration Fee - Athletes will pay $20 on the day of the event
Medical Requirements. All athletes must be cleared with the Combat Sports Authority NSW prior to 25th October . If you are not cleared, you cannot compete.

Trainers - You get 1 free trainer pass if you have 1-2 athletes matched, 2 trainer passes for 3-4 athletes matched and 3 trainer passes for 5+ athletes
All other people including family are required to purchase an entry ticket.

Common Questions.
What equipment do I need?
Bring your blue book ( unless combat sports will be providing you one on the day )
You are required to have a mouth guard, cotton hand wraps. Males are required to wear a groin guard.
Gloves, Head gear, elbow guards, shin guards are supplied.
What clothing do I fight in? Muaythai shorts are mandatory and a singlet to wear under the body armour.
Wai Kru? No Wai Kru, Sealing the ring or mongkon for these events. The goal is to gain experience in a low pressure environment and get a bunch of bouts done in the shortest amount of time.
Corner person - Maximum of one trainer and two corner people are allowed in the corner and all must have their CSA laynards present. no jumping on ring apron during the bout and all supporters must remain a safe distance from the ring.
