MNSW Female Sparring Day 7
The Muaythai NSW-ACT All Female Only Sparring Day.
This event is designed to foster and grow female Muay Thai in NSW and ACT by providing a platform for females in the sport to come together and practice their skills in a low pressure environment.
Through these Sparring Days, we seek to grow the female fight scene here in NSW from grassroots through to the professional ranks.
Participants will have the chance to spar with women of all different levels from beginners up to pro level athletes however, the event is designed to be a fun experience to open the flood gates to build female fighters.
The event is open to all women in Muay Thai across NSW and ACT. It will have 2 components:
- Open sparring
-
Pre-matched bouts for those that want to take the next step towards fighting. This is a chance to spar harder with a similar opponent and judges’ feedback will be provided.
This is a female run event for females in Muay Thai and we will have a high degree of supervision on the day.
Registrations will close Friday 2 May 2025 unless sold out prior.
Participants will be asked to provide their weight, experience, age and preference of which part of the day they would like to participate.
The event will be strictly controlled and safety is paramount. Please consider your entry preferences carefully and discuss with your trainer. Registration includes fight records (if applicable) so we will know when people are registered what experience level they have. On registration you must enter your training AND fight experience (if any), gym and trainer details if you want to have a pre-matched bout. No trainer details = no matched bout.
Rules:
The pre-matched bouts (and open sparring) will be conducted under Muaythai Australia rules. However, there will be NO ELBOWS, NO HEADKICKS, NO KNEES OR TEEPS TO THE FACE.
